TETRA World Congress is the grand amassing and culmination of the international crisis communications community. It connects TETRA system integrators, application developers, network operators, manufacturers and users from around the world; creating numerous opportunities for networking, training, and discussions amongst approximately 2500 attendees.
TETRA is a standard solution of private/professional mobile radio and public access mobile radio technology. With variations of its technology in use in sectors of law enforcement and public safety, where the rapid dispatch of field communications may be dire, the magnitude of TETRA’s impact is immeasurable.
Motorola is a large provider of TETRA networks, and users of their solutions extend the world over. Such a deep and diverse network of users necessitated a way to engage and interact outside of traditional means. The challenge was to devise a web experience that allowed those who could not attend TETRA World Congress to share with Motorola as much of the exciting event as digitally possible.
CURTIS Digital provided a portal that acted as social aggregator providing users with the ability to catch TWC announcements and Motorola’s blog feed from Jive platform, view Motorola’s YouTube video uploads, Flickr image stream with highlights from the event, as well as catch the latest buzz from Twitter, and connect to pertinent resources; all in one socially interactive platform. This portal was then optimized for tablet view and a separate responsive mobile web experience. CURTIS Digital also integrated WebTrends, Motorola’s global analytics platform to provide comprehensive metric data about every aspect of their shared web experience of TETRA World Congress.
